Mercedes-Benz Italy Vans is the most appreciated brand among Italian commercial vehicle dealers, followed by Volkswagen and Ford. This was revealed by the 2020 edition of the annual DealerSTAT survey by Quintegia, which analyzed the satisfaction level of a representative sample comprising 49% of LCV (light commercial vehicle) dealerships. According to the evaluations presented today during the second episode of the Automotive Forum Live, the three brands responded better than their competitors to expectations regarding the mandate relationship (with an Italian average score of 3.01 on a scale from 1 to 5). Mercedes-Benz scored 3.72, Volkswagen 3.47, and Ford 3.44. Among the 12 managerial areas examined, the overall results for product (3.59), sales management (3.19), and additional services (3.14) were good, while there is room for improvement in the used vehicle business, compensation policies, and marketing strategies.
The three-pointed star also dominated in the section dedicated to the Covid-19 emergency, where Mercedes-Benz earned the top spot for both timeliness and effectiveness of countermeasures, with a score of 3.56 (on a scale from 1 to 5) in both rankings. According to Dario Albano, Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Italy Vans: “Receiving this recognition from our dealers confirms the trust we have built over time. The future of logistics and transportation depends on efficiency, quality, and the versatility of services, combined with the innovation of an offering that, in addition to ensuring the traditional values of the Star, is renewed by harnessing the potential of digitization”. ” Radek Jelinek, President of Mercedes-Benz Italy, adds: “Performance, innovation, and reputation are the keywords we believe in. The response from the dealers confirms that we are moving in the right direction. It is a 360-degree effort where everyone is important. We are proud of the teamwork; the challenge will be to maintain this first place.”
Overall, the reactivity of the brands was rated as barely sufficient (3.05) by Italian dealers, with 5 out of 10 brands receiving a rating above the neutrality threshold, and Peugeot and Ford ranking second and third, respectively. However, the adequacy of the solutions implemented was considered overall insufficient (with an average score of 2.83). Following Mercedes-Benz in terms of effectiveness, Volkswagen and Peugeot stood out, earning silver and bronze medals in this category.
